Wastewater Operations Internship Program
Lakehaven Water and Sewer District is committed to training and developing qualified individuals who are pursuing careers in the Wastewater field. Qualified individuals who are enrolled in approved wastewater training programs, may, at the District’s discretion, be eligible to participate in the District’s Volunteer Internship Program. As a volunteer intern, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in routine operational duties typical of a wastewater treatment plant. The internship is an unpaid volunteer opportunity that can be terminated at any time, at the district’s discretion.Approved Wastewater Programs
Lakehaven Water and Sewer District will verify enrollment in an approved wastewater program. Approved wastewater programs include the following:- California State University/Ken Kerri Distance Learning Program
- Clover Park Technical College Environmental Program
- Green River Community College Wastewater Program
- Skagit Valley Wastewater/Water Program

Application Requirement
Individuals interested in pursuing this volunteer internship program opportunity should provide documentation of their enrollment in an approved wastewater program and fill out the Wastewater Operations Internship Program Questionnaire (PDF). These documents, as well as your cover letter and resume should be emailed to Mr. John Barton, Waste Water Operations Manager. Following receipt of this information, Mr. Barton will contact the potential volunteer intern to discuss eligibility and qualifications.Thank you for your interest in this opportunity.
