GLOSSARY
Residential - Single family residence
Multi- Family Residential -
A single structure made up of two (2) or more separate dwelling units or a
mobile home park with two or more mobile homes situate thereon.
Commercial – Any non residential customer
excluding Public Authority.
Public Authority – Municipally owned or
operated public services businesses .
Fixed Rate – The monthly base rate as per the
meter size. This rate does not include water usage.
CCF – 100 Cubic Feet (748 gallons).
Block Rates – Water usage is billed according
to the number of CCF’s used. The first 16 are billed at $ .64 per CCF. The rate
increases per CCF as the usage increases (shown in table above).
Irrigation – Outdoor water usage.
Dormant Charge – The rate charged on an
irrigation meter when there is no water usage. This rate is based on the monthly base rate
of a 5/8" meter.
Summer Usage – Water usage billed from July
through October.
Winter Usage – Water usage billed
January through April.
Wet Month Average
– 4
month average of winter usage.
SIC – Classification for non residential sewer
customers based on the strength of the wastewater discharged to the District’s
collection and treatment system.
Fire Sprinkler – Meters specifically for fire
protection flow. |
