The monthly sewer service charge for properties within the District with sewage flows treated by the King County Metro system shall include an additional $1.66 per hundred cubic feet above the District’s rates shown above to reflect charges imposed by King County Metro.

The monthly sewer service charge for properties within the District with sewage flows treated by the Pierce County/Tacoma system shall include an additional $0.66 per hundred cubic feet above the District’s rates shown above to reflect charges imposed by Pierce County/Tacoma.

Capacity Rental Charge Program Begins January 1, 2010

GLOSSARY

Residential - Single family residence

Multi- Family Residential - A single structure made up of two (2) or more separate dwelling units or a mobile home park with two or more mobile homes situate thereon.

Commercial – Any non residential customer excluding Public Authority.

Public Authority – Municipally owned or operated public services businesses.

Fixed Rate – The monthly base rate as per the meter size. This rate does not include water usage.

CCF – 100 Cubic Feet (748 gallons).

Block Rates – Water usage is billed according to the number of CCF’s used. The first 16 are billed at the Block 1 rate, the next 5 ccf at the Block 2 rate, and continues as shown in the table above.

Irrigation – Outdoor water usage.

Dormant Charge – The rate charged on an irrigation meter when there is no water usage. This rate is based on the monthly base rate of a 5/8" meter.

Summer Usage – Water usage billed from July through October.

Winter Usage – Water usage billed January through April.

Wet Month Average – 4 month average of winter usage.

SIC – Classification for non residential sewer customers based on the strength of the wastewater discharged to the District’s collection and treatment system.

Fire Sprinkler – Meters specifically for fire protection flow.
