Bev Tweddle
was elected to the Board of Commissioners in 1987. She is a native of Washington State and
has resided in the District for more than 30 years. Having worked for small cities on both sides of
the state, the Office of the Governor of the State of Washington, Metro/King and Pierce
Counties during her professional career of more than 30 years, Bev brings substantial
public sector management and utility experience to the position. She is married and the mother of two
grown children.

Charles Gibson was appointed to the Board of
Commissioners in September 2006. He is a graduate of Lehigh University,
with a Bachelors Degree in biology and Masters and PhD. in Marine
Science. Charles worked in environmental sciences from 1968 until his
retirement in 2005. During his career he worked for the U.S. National
Ocean and Atmospheric Administration, Battelle Memorial Institute and
Weyerhaeuser as a research scientist and manager of science and
engineering departments. He and his wife have five grown children and
thirteen grandchildren.

Ed Stewart
was appointed to the Board of Commissioners in January 1999. He is a graduate of Montana
State University, with a degree in mechanical engineering. Ed has lived at his present
residence in the Five Mile Lake area since 1949. He has worked in an engineering capacity
in both the railroad and shipbuilding industries, retiring from Todd Shipyards in 1987. Ed
has a grown son and two grandchildren
- one presently attends the University of Washington and the other
attends Washington State University in Pullman.

Ron Nowicki
was appointed to the Board of Commissioners in July 2006. Born and
raised in Michigan, he and his wife Bonnie moved to Federal Way in 1980,
where they raised their two children. Ron has held management positions
with Detroit Edison and Weyerhaeuser. Prior to his recent retirement,
Ron owned and operated an environmental engineering firm in Federal Way

Don Miller
was first elected to the Board of Commissioners in 1983. He was born and educated in the
Seattle area and served for many years as an Army reserve officer. Don has enjoyed a long
career in the insurance and financial planning fields. During his tenure as a
commissioner, Don has been directly involved in water supply issues, emergency and risk
management programs and public information outreach. He and wife Patti enjoy a large
family, including seven grown children and seventeen
grandchildren
