LAKEHAVEN UTILITY DISTRICT RECEIVES A
CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH FROM THE STATE AUDITOR'S OFFICE
The Lakehaven Utility District, which provides water and sewer service to 105,000 customers in the South King County area, has received a clean bill of health from the State Auditor's Office. The audit covers calendar year 1998 and represents the second consecutive year free of any findings of non-compliance. The audit notes the following: "In the areas examined, we found the District complied with state laws and regulations and its own policies and procedures. We also found the District's financial statements were complete and accurate." According to Lakehaven's Board of Commissioners President, Bev Tweddle, "The Board is very pleased with the progress made over the past two years. We are confident that the results of these last two audits reflect the commitment of the Board and staff to effectively manage the resources of the District." A copy of the audit is available upon request. |
