2006
Water Quality Report
Lakehaven Utility District will
be mailing a copy of our "2006 Water Quality Report" to all water account
customers. The development and mailing of this report is a federal
requirement called the "Consumer Confidence Report" rule and was created by
Congress and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the 1996
reauthorization of the Safe Drinking Water Act. All water utilities
throughout the United States must provide this annual report to their
customers on the quality of their drinking water as monitored during the
previous calendar year. The "Consumer Confidence Report" is required each
year and helps the public learn whether their drinking water meets State and
Federal health standards, and if not, why not. The report details where the
water comes from, what it contains, and the risks that water quality
monitoring and testing are designed to prevent.
